When Aubrey Stettinger is attacked by a madman on a train, a tall, handsome stranger comes to her assistance, but he disappears as quickly as he appeared. Four months later, Aubrey is injured and finds herself recuperating in Paradise at the home of a friend of a friend. But when Aubrey realizes the host’s brother is the hero from the train, she suspects their reunion is more than a coincidence.
Slowly, and for the first time in her life, Aubrey begins to trust – in family, in God and in a man. But just as she’s ready to let her guard down, life once again reminds her she can’t trust anyone.
Aubrey finds herself caught between two worlds, either going back to chase her fleeting dreams, or trying to carve out a new life in this strange place.
